Did I forget to tell you what my grandchild did today?
It surely was the dearest thing a child could do or say.
So sweet and irresistable, the apple of my eye.
Anyone who takes one look can certainly see why.
Smart, bright and funny, so obvious to me.
Beyond the years of others, I'm sure you will agree.
And of course that face of beauty, and angel of a smile.
Hard to take you eyes off, even for awhile.
Have you seen my pictures? They are so awfully grand.
I have so many favorites, I keep them all on hand.
Forgive me if I carry on but I'm sincere in what I say.
